Every shipment from SuongDaLat is backed by internationally recognized certifications and rigorous quality control. Here’s how we ensure your coffee meets the standards your market demands.
In the global coffee trade, certifications are more than paperwork — they are your guarantee that the coffee in your container matches the sample you approved. They unlock preferential tariffs, satisfy import regulations, and give your customers confidence in your supply chain.
Below are the certifications and quality documents that accompany every SuongDaLat shipment. Each one serves a specific purpose in the export chain — from the farm gate to your warehouse door.
Issued by: Plant Protection Department — Vietnam MARD
The phytosanitary certificate confirms that the green coffee beans are free from pests, diseases, and contaminants. It is a mandatory document for every agricultural export from Vietnam and is verified by an on-site inspector before each container is sealed.
International Organization for Standardization
ISO 22000 is the global benchmark for food safety management systems. It covers every link in the supply chain — from raw material sourcing and processing to packaging and transport. Our facility operates under HACCP-based protocols audited to ISO 22000 standards.
Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points
HACCP is a preventive system that identifies and controls biological, chemical, and physical hazards throughout production — not just by testing the final product. For green coffee, this means monitoring moisture levels to prevent mold, screening for foreign matter, and maintaining clean transport conditions.
U.S. Food & Drug Administration
FDA facility registration is required for any food facility exporting to the United States. Our registration confirms that SuongDaLat’s processing and export operations comply with the U.S. Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requirements for foreign suppliers.
Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI)
The C/O certifies that your coffee is 100% of Vietnamese origin. This document is the key to preferential import tariffs under Vietnam’s free trade agreements — including CPTPP, EVFTA, UKVFTA, and RCEP. Without it, you pay the full MFN tariff rate.
General Administration of Customs of China
Under China’s Decrees 248 and 249, all overseas food exporters must register with the GACC before their products can enter China. This registration covers our facility, product lines, and traceability systems as reviewed by Chinese customs authorities.
Certifications are the foundation. Our three-stage QC process ensures every lot meets the specs you signed off on.
Every incoming lot of green beans is tested for moisture content, water activity, screen size distribution, and defect count. Beans that fall outside our spec range are rejected before they enter processing. We also verify farm-level documentation including harvest date, variety confirmation, and any pesticide-use records.
Beans move through hulling, polishing, gravity-table density sorting, and optical color sorting. At each stage, we pull samples to verify the process is within spec. Roast-sample cupping is performed daily during production runs. Any deviation triggers an immediate line-stop and corrective action.
Before stuffing, the final lot is sampled using ISO 4072 sampling protocols. We re-check moisture, screen size, defects, and cup profile against the approved Pre-Shipment Sample (PSS) we sent you. The container is inspected for cleanliness, bags are counted and labeled, and the seal number is photographed and shared with you before the truck leaves for port.
